They endured thunderstorms, wind, rain (and some questionable cooking!) but all five Sixth Formers completed the 100 mile Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award expedition from Winchester to Eastbourne recently. The group of Emma Cohen, Joshua Deakin, Lottie Henden, Jesse Holmes and Ella Litjens followed the South Downs Way, taking six days before setting eyes on the Eastbourne Pier. Ella revealed there had been some “close calls with lightening” and the inevitable blisters but that the exercise had been great for team bonding. Congratulations to all the participants!
