Gordon’s is a thriving school rich with possibilities boasting extraordinary academic, pastoral, ceremonial and extra-curricular strengths; but we do not wish to stop there. We aspire to continue developing our community in order to retain and strengthen the school’s unique educational experience.
Gordon’s will always be a school that is ambitious with its plans and opportunities for Gordonians, past, present and future. The School is fortunate to have the support of The Gordon Foundation through which the estate is developed to support changing educational and social needs. The Foundation’s resources are not limitless; as we continue an ambitious development programme, building upon the already exceptional quality of education we provide and reinforcing our position as one of the leading State Boarding Schools in the UK, other means of support are sought.
The purpose of the Development Office at Gordon’s is to support the School in its aim of providing students with an outstanding education. This is achieved through promoting the school’s vision for the future and securing funding to ensure that this vision is achievable. You may be interested to read our latest Vision for Gordon’s.
The Development Office looks to unite a network of school stakeholders including The Gordon Foundation, the Gordonians, the Parents' Association, the Governors and of course the staff, students and parents of the school today.
Launched in September 2012, the Development Office is working to build the school network through better marketing and communications, improved alumni relations with Gordonians, looking outwards to support the local business community, many of whom are current and past Gordon’s parents, and putting into place sustainable but ambitious fundraising strategies.
