24 Hour Musical

Just 24 hours in which to audition, learn their lines, rehearse, put together costumes, run through the technical side of a musical and perform to the paying public! That was the task facing these musical theatre students who were given the script for Madagascar on Saturday morning at 9am and put on an unforgettable show of music, dance and acting. As well as performing, students also took roles on the technical side of lighting, costumes and music. The Director of the show, Robbie Olden said afterwards: "Cool, calm and collected this lot. Never underestimate what can be achieved with a whole lot of determination, bravery and trust. A phenomenal achievement to get anywhere close to what these guys did tonight". The event, held in the Wynter Bee Theatre, raised over £500 towards the school becoming a Steinway School.
