Being a good friend and appreciating friends and family, all part of Mental Health Awareness Day at Gordon's. While some students engaged in relaxation exercises such as yoga and learned about how different foods effect moods, others wrote about why they liked particular people.

Porridge; salmon; mackerel and plenty of fresh water, with a fruity twist was enjoyed by those learning about Food and Mood today as part of ID Week’s mental health day. Elsewhere, students were strolling around the grounds for a ‘Walk and Talk’ session learning relaxation techniques to manage stress and anxiety.
Award-winning author Dan Smith popped in to Gordon’s library today, where he is filming a masterclass on his latest book ‘She Wolf’, set in the time of the Vikings.

The newly-formed Boys' Choir held their first Choral Evensong at Gordon's last night by candlelight in the school chapel. This enchanting service - the oldest continuous music tradition in the world - will also take place on Parade Sunday March 24th from 6pm. All welcome.
Fundraising for the new sports hall and all-weather pitch for Gordon’s and the local community, has already started with Buckingham’s Head of House Jamie Sinclair committed to running in the London Marathon to raise money to equip the development. Planning permission has now been granted for a new sports hall and second all-weather pitch at Gordon’s, which will transform the facilities currently offered to students and provide a sports hub for the local community. For more information please click here.

A 2-0 win against the Royal Russell School this afternoon has earned Gordon’s First XI football team a place in the quarter final of the English Schools’ FA Cup – for the second year running. The team, coached by former Chelsea and Sunderland player Gareth Hall made it to the semi-final last year. Congratulations boys.
Fresh from their production of Bugsy Malone, students were treated to a musical theatre masterclass this afternoon with Adam Stadius. Adam, an acting coach is a teacher practitioner of the Meisner Technique.
