    We welcome back all our students and staff for the start of term and the new academic year today. Those beginning their Gordon's journey as Residential and Day Boarders include Sixth Formers and 116 new students in Year 7 from 42 primary schools across the UK and overseas as well as 19 in other year groups.   • Netballers storm in for pre-season training

    Pre-season training kicked off for students this morning in rugby, football, hockey and netball. Netballers welcomed Surrey Storm’s Nicole Humphrys as their coach and new Head of Netball. Ms Humphrys, who plays as a defender or in the mid-court for Surrey Storm Netball said: “I love teaching and love netball so this is my dream job!”.

  • jumping into new school year

    CCF Cadets started the new school year by parachuting 3,500 feet! The group spent the weekend training with the Army Parachute Association at Netheravon in Wiltshire in preparation for their static line jump. Please click here to see them in action.

    Putting the final touches to the Woolwich House sign, which has returned to Gordon's after 27 years! The new boarding house is the school's 11th house and 5th residential boarding house and will offer our youngest residential boarders a 'home from home' when they arrive in September to begin their Gordon's journey.

    Just announced by the English Schools' Football Association, Gordon’s will take on Sutton Grammar in the first round of the U18 Trophy. For two years in a row, our First XI team have made it to the semi-final of this prestigious national competition. Could this be the year…..?

  • our youngest boarder

    Taking a break from unpacking, our youngest boarder ever – ten week old Barney. Barney has moved into the new residential boarding house Woolwich with Houseparents Sam and Daisy Cooper and their children Tommy and Rose. Barney and his family will be joined by 16 boys and 16 girls starting residential boarding at Gordon's in Year 7 in September.     Their four day expedition on the eastern edge of the Hardangervidda mountain plateau in Norway is complete. Now our Gold DofE students are enjoying rafting activities on the Dagali River before heading back to school at the weekend. Congratulations all.

    Celebrations continue at Gordon’s this morning as the GCSE students learn that their hard work has resulted in 88 per cent of them achieving the ‘gold standard’ of five or more (standard 4) GCSE grades including English and maths.     With the Horse of the Year Show just around the corner, show jumper Gigi Gough has spent her summer competing across the country. Now Champion at Suffolk County Show; Three Counties Show and Stoneleigh Horse Show, Gigi Gough also came 6th in the 143cm Show Hunter Class at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead. Next week she's competing at the British Show Pony Society Summer Championships for five days. Wishing her the best of luck!
