    A Midsummer Night's Dream is performed by Year 8 students to their peers in the amphitheatre outside the Chapel. The popular Shakespearean comedy was much enjoyed and forms part of Enrichment Week.

  • brookwood remembrance service

    Proud to be a part of the Brookwood Last Post Association's Remembrance Service at Brookwood Military Cemetery yesterday. The service is held on the first Sunday of every month and while the school used to send the Pipe Major to play a Lament, this sadly dwindled out. Now this has been rekindled and our Pipe Major Ed Lee played the Lament during the service. Not only was this the last engagement of the year for the Pipes and Drums, it was the Pipe Major's final event with the Pipes and Drums after a seven year career at Gordon's and in the Band.

    Even the weather performed brilliantly for last night’s Summer Arts Evening! The balmy  evening on the Front Field saw hundreds arriving with picnic blankets to enjoy a feast of entertainment covering a wealth of talented singing, dancing and drama performances. The event began with Pipe Major Ed Lee playing the bagpipes from the roof of the Rec!

  • winning for way

    Congratulations to the Year 9 team for winning £1,000 for their chosen charity WAY Widowed and Young. The team (pictured in blue) were one of four taking part in the First Give event in which students choose a charity and raise money and awareness about it before giving a presentation on it to a panel of judges. The winning team were given £1,000 by First Give, an organisation that aims to engage students in social action. They were delighted to present the cheque to Joanna Sedley-Burke of WAY Widowed and Young.

  • Annual Parade

    The 134th Annual Inspection and Parade took place on Saturday, followed by Prize Giving. Head Girl Abi White marched the Parade on to the Front Field, handing over to Head Boy Oliver Henderson. The Pipe Major was Ed Lee and Drum Major George Whiteman. The Guest of Honour Alderman Dr Sir Andrew Parmley, a former Vice President of the Gordon Foundation and Lord Mayor of London took the salute and carried out the inspection.

    The girls' teams - both students and staff - dominated the staff v students' netball matches this afternoon. The sporting spectacle on the Parade Square, saw the student girls top the leader board followed by female staff; male staff and male students.

  • helicopter visit

    RAF Cadets were delighted to welcome a very special (and noisy!) visitor in the form of a Puma helicopter from RAF Benson. After landing on the Front Field, the pilot Genevieve and crew led by Squadron Leader Douglas Fowler answered questions and showed cadets around the magnificent aircraft. The visit was part of a routine training sortie by the RAF.
