Pure gold
Published 16/04/18Congratulations to Gordonian Eboni Beckford-Chambers, playing in the Team England netball team for the Commonwealth Games. Their thrilling match against Australia earned them a gold medal in the last second. She is pictured here on a recent visit to Gordon's.

delight over debates
Published 10/04/18Delegates from Gordon’s MUN (Model United Nations) recorded their best ever results at a conference held at Haileybury School recently. The MUN conference - one of the largest in the country - involved over 600 secondary school pupils from across the world assuming the roles of national ambassadors to debate and solve global issues. Darcy Watson, Dina Khan and Tim Fisho were Highly Commended; Tia Jasani, Luca Stamford and Oliver Henderson were Distinguished Delegates and the Gordon's delegation representing Cyprus was awarded Highly Commended: Tim Fisho, Artur Nunes, Harvey Tulloch, Luca Conti and Oliver Henderson.

Hitting the right notes
Published 23/03/18Fresh from their successes at the Godalming Music Festival and after wowing parents and staff at the Spring Concert, Gordon’s singers have just been given another official thumbs up. Nine out of 12 Students got the top mark, Distinction in their LCM Singing, their grades ranging from Grade 2 up to Grade 8 and Diploma Level.

Farewell mr short
Published 23/03/18Gravesend Students donned 'Mr Short masks' and composed a song for him in tribute to their popular Head of House. Alan Short is retiring after nearly 25 years at Gordon's and will be succeeded by Helen Bryan. Other farewells to staff included Katrione Young; Bekah Deacon and Sakharkar Snehal.

Published 23/03/18Delivering Easter eggs to Buckingham House this morning for an end of term treat, Head of House Jamie Sinclair. The whole school - staff and students - are in mufti to raise money for Sport Relief.

Published 22/03/18The Year 7 Netball Tournament at Heathside School, scheduled for this afternoon (Thursday 22nd March) has been postponed. Once a new date for it has been set, it will be included in Schoolcomms.

Published 21/03/18Congratulations to the 1st XI football team crowned national State Boarding School champions today with a 1-0 win against Ashby School. Commiserations to the 1st VII netball team who were runners-up losing narrowly to Wymondham College.

Published 21/03/18Practising in the Spring sunshine this morning, members of the Gordon's School Music Department for the Spring Concert tonight at the H G Wells Theatre in Woking where they will be presenting 'Songs for all Seasons'.

Piping new residents
Published 15/03/18Pipers Oliver Henderson and Ed Lee welcomed West End's newest residents at the opening of the new residential care home, Gracewell. Their music was enjoyed by both residents and visitors to the home, which is a near neighbour of Gordon's.
