Sixth Formers collected eight hampers full of kitchen equipment and new mum kits for the Besom Charity in Camberley. The charity provides a link between those who want to give time, money, things or skills to those who are in need. They delivered the hampers today to St Paul’s in Camberley.

The Book Fair opened in the Library today and will run until Thursday (15th November). Students will be able to choose from a selection of titles starting from only £2.99 and each one bought will help get free books for the school!

One hundred and fifty five former Gordon's students were killed in action in the First World War, represented by the students in the Chapel this morning. At today's Remembrance Service and Parade we remembered them together with those killed or injured in subsequent conflicts. Please click here for a video of Remembrance Sunday.
Pipe Sergeant Edward Lee began the commemorations across the county for the end of the First World War by piping 'Battle's O'er' at 6am from the Tower at Guildford Cathedral. Gordon's Remembrance Service and Parade will start today at 10.45am.
Poets David Gomina and Darcy Watson have been shortlisted for the Armistice 100 Prize for Schools Poetry Competition. The Gordon’s students competed against entrants from all over the country aged between 11 and 18 years old in the competition which is supported by the Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy and the Winner of Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry, Imtiaz Dharker. They will be invited to a performance poetry event at Lincoln University where the winners will be announced. Their poems will also be published in a collection called Armistice 100. Poppies inscribed with the names of Gordonians killed in the First World War were ‘planted’ by students this afternoon around the statue of General Gordon on the Front Field this afternoon in readiness for the Remembrance Parade on Sunday. The poppies were made by students during the Make a Difference Day in the summer. Click here for the video.
Smashing his seeding in the Duathlon competition between the South East of England and London, Lachlan Bethune finished second place for his South East of England Team helping them to victory in the Inter-Regional Duathlon 5. Congratulations Lachlan!

Congratulations Balmoral, winners of the Boys' Inter-House Rugby competition. In the closely-fought contest, Sandringham were second equal with Khartoum; Buckingham fourth and Gravesend fifth. Players of the Tournament were Charlie Chapman; Josh Learoyd; David Gomina; Harvey Oborn and George Freer.
