Charity impact in Sudan

The indomitable Patricia Parker OBE, founder of Kids for Kids spoke to charity prefects and the school Chaplain the Reverend Graham Wright this morning about the crisis facing families in Sudan, and in particular, remote communities in Darfur. The charity provides practical help to make a difference to families such as goat loans, seeds and handpump repairs and their services are needed now, more than ever. Gordon’s has supported the charity over many years and is currently raising money for the building of a kindergarten in Darfur. The lively conversation ranged from why the charity was first set up 25 years ago, how it helps people to help themselves, and its impact. The charity prefects will pass on the information learned today to their peers. For more information on the charities supported by Gordon's students and staff, please click here.
