Arete Schools Partnership
cooperation and innovation
The etymology of Arete refers to 'excellence' of any kind, particularly the full realisation of potential. We hope our partnership enables every child and member of staff to achieve this.
The Arete partnership was established with Woking High School to develop collaboration between the two schools. Due to the success of this partnership, it was expanded in 2023 to include Robert May’s School and Blenheim High School. Most recently, the partnership expanded to include Alderwood School which presents further opportunities for collaboration between staff across all schools and for additional student events. The partnership centres on: developing teaching practice, student experiences & training and enterprise opportunities.
The partnership has successfully forged relationships between departments across all five schools, encouraging best practice and enhancing pedagogy. In addition to this, there have been many competitions across a range of fields (academic, creative and sport) throughout the year enabling students to demonstrate their skills and talents.
