    The Dining Hall will be open on Friday 1st April from 10am to 2pm for donations for Ukraine.

    Please bring the following items:

    Baby clothes (new)
    Nappies
    Wipes
    Stage 1 and 2 formula
    Medical supplies
    Long-life food
    Sleeping bags
    Ladies sanitary products
    Pet food

    No adult clothes, bedding or toys.

  • District Champions

    Congratulations to both the U16A and U15A Netball Teams on being crowned District Champions after a thrilling tournament against tough opposition. The Under 16s clinched the title in extra time while the U15s were clear leaders from the outset, winning all four of their games.

  • MUN Success

    Representing Norway, Malaysia and Pakistan, our delegates had an incredible weekend at Haileybury MUN 2022, the largest Model United Nations conference in the UK. This year’s theme was ‘a world for the future’, which sparked fruitful debate on the illicit arms trade, compulsory vaccination and space exploration. Special congratulations to Harry, representing Norway, who won highly commended in the economic and social committee.

  • three feathers to his cap!

    Congratulations to Tom Golder, selected for the Wales squad in the forthcoming U18s Six Nations. Tom is the second of our DiSE (Diploma in Sporting Excellence) students to be selected for his country after Caleb Ashworth was capped for England in the U18s Six Nations. Tom's rise through the ranks of the game has been meteoric, having never played school rugby before coming to Gordon's and being one of five students selected to join the Harlequins/Gordon's Partnership Programme. He and Caleb play in the ACE League, the pinnacle of schoolboy rugby and have both been invited to join the Harlequins Academy training sessions.

  • Top Golfers

    Great start to the schools golf invitational season at Tandridge Golf Club this week, with Gordon’s winning the Team Stableford event by 16 points and with first and third places in the individual medal event. Overall six of the Gordon’s golfers were in the top ten medal finishes. Congratulations all!

  • Dubai for Scholars in World Cup

    Celebrating learning through the World Scholar's Cup, Gordon’s hosted the London round, and entered four teams of scholars over the weekend. The competition featured a number of elements including the solving of multimedia challenges and analytic questions; collaborative writing; multiple choice; team debates and alpaca balancing! With a first place in the scholars round; debating and collaborative writing Gordon's students earned places in the Global Round in Dubai for at least three out of four of the school’s teams. Thank you to Holyport College, Queen Anne's School and Charters School for joining us and making it such an enjoyable event!

  • Student Diplomats at NORMAC

    Representing Russia and Sweden at Polar Aspect's NORMAC (Norwich Model Arctic Council), a three day conference in Norwich, Gordon's students brought some great ideas to the declarations, with two being presented with a special commendation for their outstanding efforts in collaborating with other delegates. The conference, at Norwich School allows students to play the roles of diplomatics from Arctic states and indigenous people. Throughout the process, they benefit from the advice and guidance from  an Arctic expert and educator.

  • Gordon's Ashworth in International Selection

    Gordon’s Caleb Ashworth has been selected for the England U18 side to take on France tomorrow.

    Prop forward Ashworth, one of the first cohort of DiSE (Diploma in Sporting Excellence) students to study on the Harlequins/Gordon’s programme was selected after a half term training camp at Bisham Abbey.

    The A Level student will travel in the 23 man squad named by Head Coach Jonathan Pendlebury, to the game at the Stade Eugene Ross in Saint-Raphael.

    His coach, Chris Davies, who heads up the partnership programme at Gordon’s and is a former Fiji National Men’s 7s Skills Coach and Analyst said: “All at Gordon’s are rooting for Caleb in this, his first international. His selection is just reward for his hard work and ability to balance his sporting aspirations and academics. Caleb is certainly a product of what our partnership with Harlequins can achieve and we are all ever so proud of him”

    The game will be the first overseas international for England since the onset of the pandemic.

    Speaking in a statement ahead of the game, Jonathan Pendlebury said: “We’ve got a wide squad that has worked together through development camps this season with the focus of exploring boundaries they may perceive individually, positionally and as a team. They have been regularly playing age group rugby for school, college, club, and academy this season and I know they are all relishing the chance to represent England.”

  • Drum Major in Ambassador Role

    Already a familiar figure leading the Gordon's Pipes Drums, Drum Major Rose Roberts now has a new challenge as she takes on the role of Ambassador for Fight for Sight. Rose and her family have been fundraising for over ten years for the charity dedicated to stopping sight loss through research, and when she joined China House at Gordon’s it became the House charity. To date thousands of pounds have been raised for the charity by Rose, her family and House. The Sixth Form student will be involved in community outreach work for the charity, particularly for young people. With just a few months before she leaves Gordon’s, Rose has promised a grand finale to her fundraising at the school!
