Tremendous honour to receive a framed photograph from Major Goate of OC 96 Squadron commemorating Gordon's involvement in the Passing Out Parade at Pirbright in the summer. The Pipes and Drums joined the band of the Royal Logistic Corps for the passing out of Troops from Morley and Dalton. By doing so, they became the first non-military band to take part in a Parade at the Army Training Regiment, Pirbright.
Pedal power: recording fantastic performances on Saturday in the Charlotteville Cycle Club’s Rainbow Splash off-road races, were Gordon’s cycle club members Joshua Deakin (first in the time trial race); Lachlan Bethune, first in the handicap race and Oliver Pinder (second in the skills race).
Indoor rowers at Gordon’s were crowned champions in the State Boarding Forum’s U14 competition recently. Now they have the chance to try their luck on the water with their first boat. The new Kanghua boat, funded by the GSPA and the Rowing Foundation will mean that rowers in Years 9-12 will be able to compete as Gordon’s School Boat Club. Coaches Manon Jones and Olympian Alan Inns will be training them.
The Chapel was filled with generous donations of food for Harvest Festival. All the items will be taken to the Salvation Army in Woking for their food bank. Thank you to all who contributed.
The rain failed to dampen spirits this morning for the Gordon's Harvest Festival Parade as our new Y7s marched in front of their parents and friends for the first time.

For the first time in Gordon’s history, a girls’ Under 18 football team is representing the school. The U’18 First Eleven team, which was formed due to popular demand, has already played one match and another seven fixtures are scheduled against schools such as Charterhouse and ACS Cobham. Last year the boys’ First Eleven team reached the semi-finals of the EFSA cup and Head of Football Paul King is hoping his female proteges will be equally successful: “The enthusiasm is certainly there”, he said, adding “I have also been impressed with their style and deftness. Many of the girls play football outside school so it was only a matter of time before it was added to their PE curriculum.”
