Ten ingredients, one hour and a courgetti as the star ingredient for their savoury or sweet dish. The Inter-House Rustle Up today saw students producing souffles; sauces; gnocci; pitta bread and quiche, to name but a few. But Victoria House seized the culinary trophy with their courgetti, and spiced chickpeas sauce accompanied by garlic bread. They were followed by Kensington and Augusta. The trophy was presented to the girls by the Head Teacher, Mr Moss. Congratulations all!

Best of luck to Sixth Former Corum Nott, in his first game for Wales U18 when they take on Scotland on Sunday. Corum who follows in the steps of Welsh International Gordonian Jake Ball, has been part of the Surrey County and Welsh Exiles programme. As a member of the Gordon’s 1st XV rugby team, they have recorded their best ever season in the school’s history. Proud coach, Chris Davies said: “This really is the icing on the cake!”.
From sleeping on the Parade Square to experience homelessness; our Inter-Generational project; Sixth Former volunteers; hamper collections for the homeless and many other community projects, Gordon’s is through to the regional finals of the Goldsmiths’ Awards for Community Engagement. Next month six students will present to a judging panel in London for a place in the finals. Around 100 schools across the country have applied for the award and now 28 will compete in the regionals. The award recognises that while schools focus on academic records and exam grades, what is also important is educating students in the wider sense through their work in their communities.
