Runs and wickets for two Gordon’s students, selected to play for the Surrey Schools’ Cricket Association (SSCA) on the hallowed turf of The Kia Oval. Leg spinner Hridaan Kohli and all-rounder top order batsman Tom Norman, both on Bedser Scholarships, were playing against the ACE Academy in the Hobbs Trophy Match. Hridaan bowled three overs for two wickets (both in the first over) and six runs. Tom opened the batting, scoring over 30 runs. Congratulations both!

New faces in the Gordon’s MUN team but despite it being their first conference, and in committees of 30+ experienced students, they bagged Best Delegate and Outstanding Delegate at the Royal Hospital School in Ipswich, with a further Outstanding Delegate awarded to a veteran Gordon’s MUN student. Fruitful debates, rich experiences and new friendships made over the weekend conference.
They did it! Ten hours of cycling, covering 120 miles and raising over £1,000 for the Camelthorn Foundation for the Gordon's girls' boarding house in Zimbabwe. Congratulations Oliver Roberts and Conan Lam!
The Year 10 students set off from school early yesterday morning for Bristol City Centre, travelling along towpaths and disused railways, stopping only for drinks and something to eat. Bath to Bristol proved the most challenging but the boys particularly enjoying the views and smooth road surfaces of the section from Kintbury to Devizes. Afterwards, Ollie said: "I don't think we would do the ride again any time soon, but maybe in the long future".
Donations can still be made through their Justgiving page here.

Inflatables, dunk tanks, ice cream and face painting, to name but a few of the activities put on by the GSPA for this afternoon’s Fun Day. Great fun had by all, finished off with a colour run. Thank you Gordon's School Parents' Association.
Here's a short video from the afternoon:
An extra special Patron’s Parade today, marking the continuing of the reigning Sovereign’s Patronage since Queen Victoria in 1885. The Parade honoured the new Sovereign Patron, His Majesty King Charles, who recently accepted the Patronage. Guest of Honour and inspecting the Parade, was The Right Honourable the Lord Lancaster of Kimbolton, a Trustee of Gordon’s and former Minister of State for the Armed Forces. Lord Lancaster served with the Royal Engineers, currently serves in the Army Reserves as a Major General and is Colonel Commandant of the Brigade of Gurkhas. Leading today’s Parade was Sergeant Major Thomas Allen. The Drum Major was Lucy Carter, Pipe Major Harry Gordon and Trumpeter Ben Hallett.
The Parade also honoured the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings and the Gordonians who lost their lives in the Second World War.

Fascinating and diverse subjects studied by students, as part of their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Gordon’s wider curriculum requires all students to select a ‘plus one’. Some 70 students in Year 12 chose to study an EPQ, which challenges them to choose a subject of interest, carry out detailed research before producing a 5,000 word essay, reflective production log and perform a presentation to an audience.
They began the process in September and today submitted their project to their supervisor. Artificial intelligence in healthcare; ultra-processed foods; politics in Hong Kong; The Holodomor famine and the biggest impact in the lives of the Windrush generation, were just a few of dissertations handed in today. Pictured are some of the Sixth Form students and their dissertations with Head of Sixth Form Will Jones. For more information about Extended Project Qualification at Gordon's, please click here.
An unforgettable day for Year 8 students, who attended the Founder’s Day Parade at the Royal Hospital Chelsea today with Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal reviewing the Parade of iconic Chelsea Pensioners. The students, dressed in their ceremonial Blues uniform, were chosen for their marching skills. The annual Parade in London remembers King Charles II who issued a Royal Warrant for the foundation of the hospital and commissioned Sir Christopher Wren to design it. Today’s Parade also coincided with the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in France.
Two first places in international competitions for U20 discus thrower Teddy Gannon who now ranks number one in England and number 15 in Europe! The 18 year old, currently taking his A Levels, was competing for Great Britain in the Loughborough International Athletics followed by the Pickering Memorial Throws International, where he achieved a personal best with a throw of 55.82 metres.
A new chapter in Gordon's history as a signwriter changes the boards on the perimeter of the school to reflect the new Patron, His Majesty King Charles. HM King Charles accepted the Patronage of the school this month and becomes Gordon’s ninth Royal Patron, continuing an unbroken line of Sovereign Patrons since Queen Victoria in 1885.
A win against Eton College has secured Gordon’s a place in the SWIFTS HMC National Final – for the fifth time in the past six years! Team Gordon’s were playing a considerably stronger side (joint team handicaps before play were Gordon’s 39 shots over par v Eton College ten, giving a 29 shot difference in team handicaps to Eton College) at Worplesdon Golf Club. The first match, Ben and Sophie went to the 20th hole and the match was finally conceded having shot a joint one over par 72. Max and Lewy won on the 14th green shooting a joint 73, two over par. And Zach and Fraser shot a fantastic 74, three over par to win, having been three down after three holes! Congratulations all!
