Key stage 5 General Revision Guidance

As a support mechanism for A Level students as they prepare for their Summer examinations, we have created revision guides for Year 13. This guide offers both general revision and exam preparation advice, as well as some tips regarding the creation of revision material/products. Students should use this guide, and the Exam Board websites, in conjunction with their class notes and text books to ensure the best preparation possible.

Students should also endeavour to follow a clearly established revision timetable to ensure success in their exams. Gordon's advises students to  approach the Easter holidays as if they were still at school and run their revision timetable the same as their school timetable, including using evening prep time for testing and re-capping. This will allow for regular breaks and help to keep students focussed on study. It will also help ensure that all subjects are covered effectively, not just their favourites!

Key Stage 4 EASTER REVISION GUIDE

In order to support GCSE students in their preparation for Summer exams, we have created a detailed study and revision guide.

The purpose of this booklet is to offer students some additional support during the Easter holiday, which is the crucial period for intensive revision before public examinations begin. Students will return to school after a three-week break and there is no doubt that final grades in August will depend on the effort students have made during this time.

This guide offers general advice about how best to approach revision activities, as well as some tips regarding the creation of revision material/products. Students should use this guide in conjunction with their class notes and subject textbooks. Please also visit individual subject pages for specific guidance where available.
