REMOTE LEARNING

During the COVID-19 Pandemic the school introduced remote learning. This significantly improved throughout the course of the lock-downs. In June 2020 all staff and students were provided with a tablet allowing for live remote teaching to take place during the lock-down in early 2021. Investment also took place in the form of training.

Between January and March 2021 the curriculum involved live teaching using TEAMS with shorter lessons to allow students and staff to fully prepare for each lesson. Work was submitted electronically and feedback provided. The School also uses Firefly for the setting of homework and prep and to provide additional resources for students.

Once back in school, students who were asked to isolate in order to comply with Government guidelines were provided with Live Streaming of lessons at home or in their respective boarding house.

In accordance with the latest Government guidelines, the provision of Remote Education and Learning has now ceased. However, in the event of any closure of the School, both planned or unplanned, the curriculum would return to remote provision in the manner indicated above.
