Sixth Form's Extended Project
Fascinating and diverse subjects studied by students, as part of their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Gordon’s wider curriculum requires all students to select a ‘plus one’. Some 70 students in Year 12 chose to study an EPQ, which challenges them to choose a subject of interest, carry out detailed research before producing a 5,000 word essay, reflective production log and perform a presentation to an audience.
They began the process in September and today submitted their project to their supervisor. Artificial intelligence in healthcare; ultra-processed foods; politics in Hong Kong; The Holodomor famine and the biggest impact in the lives of the Windrush generation, were just a few of dissertations handed in today. Pictured are some of the Sixth Form students and their dissertations with Head of Sixth Form Will Jones. For more information about Extended Project Qualification at Gordon's, please click here.
