Gordon's U12s Reach National ESFA Cup Quarter Finals

The ESFA have introduced a new Cup for Under 12s called the Small Schools Cup involving schools which have less than 850 pupils on their roll.

The ESFA have introduced a new Cup for Under 12s called the Small Schools Cup involving schools which have less than 850 pupils on their roll.  The competition took place after Christmas with 86 teams to begin with.

The first round saw Gordon's have a bye and then round two resulted in a draw against a local rival school, Claremont Fan Court.  Due to weather conditions the game was played on the astro at Gordon's and the boys were pleased to come out winners 8-1. This then meant the team played Icknield Community School again at home on the astro; something of a lucky charm for the boys who went on to win through penalties in extra time.  The fourth round was an away game against Dedworth School in Slough and the  team played well to win 3-1.

This now places the team in the quarter final of the National ESFA Cup and the boys are awaiting more information on where this round will take place.
