It’s a bronze for rower James Gibson, who swept to third place in the Year 9 Boys event on Sunday in a nail-biting finish at the British Rowing Virtual Championships. James, part of a team of rowers from the Gordon’s Boat Club also made his personal best. Our rowers, many of whom achieved top ten placings in their categories, joined over a thousand entrants from 30 countries world-wide, competing in real-time, side by side races in their own homes. Their coach, three times Olympian Cox Alan Inns told them: “…if the rowing world did not know who Gordon’s Boat Club are, they do now”.
