Chairman of Gordon Foundation: General Sir Peter Wall

General Sir Peter Wall has been appointed the new Chairman of The Gordon Foundation

After last Saturday’s Whitehall Parade the Trustee Committee of The Gordon Foundation met in London for the Annual General Meeting followed by a regular Committee Meeting. I have previously advised that Lieutenant General Anthony Pigott  decided last year to step down as Chairman due to ill-health. I am pleased to now be able to advise that General Sir Peter Wall was elected Chairman at Saturday’s meeting. General Wall was appointed Chief of the General Staff, the professional head of the British Army Head in 2010 and retired in September 2014. Continuing tradition that the Foundation’s Chairman is a Royal Engineer  General Wall was Chief Engineer 2009-13, amongst other high ranking posts.

General Wall looks forward to getting to know Gordon’s School and to helping the Foundation and school in its strategic plans. He attended last term’s unveiling of the restored statue of General Gordon and was most impressed by Saturday’s Whitehall Parade; we are now making arrangements for General Wall to visit the school during the working week.
