An English Speaking Union workshop in Berkshire gave students in Year 7 the opportunity to hone their skills in debating and public speaking today. The group attended the ‘Discover your Voice’ workshop designed to help them communicate more effectively with others; develop their ability to think critically; build cohesive arguments and improve their delivery, listening and response skills.

The Year 10 Parents' Consultation Evening will take place on Thursday 25th April between 6.00pm and 8.00pm.
We welcomed a party of 35 Japanese students today, here to find out about life in a British boarding school. Their packed programme includes a tour of the school and lessons; cultural exchange presentations and of course a performance by our Pipes and Drums!
The first day of the Summer Term is Wednesday 24th April. Residential boarders should arrive the night before (Tuesday 23rd April).
A packed programme of events has seen our students learn Mandarin; paint Chinese fans and visit the Great Wall of China and terracotta army. The trip is proving to be a huge success.
They took on Dartmoor for three days. Now the teams have been selected for the Ten Tors Challenge in May. This annual challenge sees over 2,000 teenagers competing in often difficult conditions and terrain and climbing ten tors in Dartmoor. We wish our team the best of luck next month.
After months of early morning training sessions in the snow, rain and dark, the DofE Bronze candidates in Y10 are now heading to Dartmoor for their Practice and Final. Also travelling today are 17 students making their way to China.
A whopping £1,000 has already been raised by Gordon's London Marathon runner Jamie Sinclair. Mr Sinclair, Head of Buckingham House, is running to raise funds for equipment for the new sports hall and all weather pitch at Gordon's that will benefit both the school and community. The perfect combination, cakes and books and all in aid of a good cause! Students were taking part in World Book Night where books and money will be donated to vulnerable members of society without access to books.
