The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) provision at Gordon’s is a wide-ranging and diverse provision that embeds STEM activities and experiences across the curriculum and co-curricular provision at Gordon’s.
Trip and Visits
The STEM departments regularly run the following trips
· Residential to visit the Large Hardon Colider at CERN (Y13 Physics)
· Arete Astronomy Masterclasses (Y9/Y10)
· Winchester Science Centre and Planitarium (Y7)
· Bletchley Park (Y12)
· National Robotics Competitions (KS4/5)
· WCSA STEM Day (Y9)
Co-Curricular
The STEM provision at Gordon’s offers students opportunities to develop skills and knowledge across the full spectrum of STEM subjects. Within STEM we have offered many opportunities including the following.

The school works closely with the Arete Partnership to run STEM events in partnership with other local schools. Students have taken part in astronomy masterclasses and have built and tested rockets with the national space centre.
