Cyclists from Khartoum House came away with a clutch of medals at the Reindeer Dash in Woking’s Goldsworth Park held in December. Andrew Milne, James Deakin and Oliver Pinder, all members of the Gordon’s Cycling Club took part in 3 events – skills; individual time trials and a handicapped sprint. All three reached the podium in the time trials but their favourite part of the day was the skills test which involved speedy cornering and a ‘limbo’ pole, requiring riders to duck down on their cycles to avoid collision. All agreed that the event had been great fun and that they were looking forward to competing in others, with Oliver adding: “We are off to a great start!”
