Khartoum House Successes 2019 - 2020

So far Khartoum have won three OUT OF FOUR Inter House Sports Competitions. Inter House Rowing with Y10 and Y8 both coming first in their years. Inter House Cross Country was also a win for Khartoum, with Y7 coming first with Marcus coming in first in the year. Ludlow also came first in the Y9 race with Sam second, Ned in second place for Y8 with Harvey a third place for Y11 and sixth form. Swimming was also a success with wins for Y11 and 6th Form, second place for Y7 and Y9 and third place for Y8 and Y10. Great wins for James in Y7, Freddie Y9, Iain and Ethan Y11 and Gideon and Alex W for 6th Form. Giving Khartoum the third overall win of the Year, an amazing achievement. Rugby was a hard fought tournament with Khartoum winning the Y7 and Y8 age groups with fantastic team work and the loudest support for each other that I have ever heard at Inter House, special mention for Dafydd for his great play that earnt him a very well deserved player of the tournament. Y9 put in an amazing performance with some fantastic tries from Sam, Lucas and Ludlow, they had a very close last match to decide first place and unfortunately just missed out to Balmoral in the last moments of the game. Y10 played with tenacity and enthusiasm, never giving up despite having to play some very strong teams. Well done to Robbie who won player of the tournament and scored some amazing tries. Y11-Y13 unfortunately suffered loss of players due to injuries both before and during the matches and had to withdraw from the competition. Thank you to all the players and supporters who turned up and made it such an enjoyable morning of sport.

Inter House Music was as ever, very entertaining with so much hard work put in by the boys representing Khartoum. Thank you to Josh for taking the lead in this competition. Great performance by Hector, Dan, Noah, Rob, Josh, Jack and Rehan, and Dan again in the solo piece. Unfortunately we did not get through to the finals but certainly a great effort by all involved.
