A chance for Years 7 and 8 to hone their public speaking skills and talk about a subject of their choice that they are passionate about. Performing in front of their whole year groups, to a panel of judges, the students delivered some compelling speeches including ones on running, global warming, the teaching of sign language in schools and failure. The one that prompted the loudest applause – should homework be banned?!
