step closer in rugby dream

One step closer to realising his dream of playing rugby for England as Enock Addai headed to Bisham Abbey at the weekend to take part in the England’s U17s Development Training Camp!
The 17 year old A Level student joined Gordon’s Sixth Form in September from his secondary school Lydiard Park Academy, also leaving his club rugby at Royal Wootton Bassett Rugby Football Club and Bath Academy Rugby.
In his short time at Gordon’s he has been picked for the ACE Academy League and is a regular player for Harlequins U18s.
The hooker/loosehead prop combines his academic studies with rugby training every day, weight training and games on Wednesdays.
“I like the physicality of rugby” he says, “the sportsmanship. There are good people in rugby, very supporting. It’s a very good community to be a part of.”
On hearing the news that he would be joining other England U17 hopefuls, Enock said: “I was pretty happy. It’s my dream to be part of the England team and play rugby, it has been since Year 7!”
