Competing in freezing temperatures in her first eight mile race, in a field of 22 – many of whom were ex-internationals – Isla Bethune and her partner won the class at Weybridge in the Elmbridge Canoe Club K2 10@10 race on Sunday. The young canoeist who is a regular at the new Ergo Centre at Gordon’s, only qualified to the group the week before the race. Congratulations Isla!
